This is one of my favourite men's rosary beads. Labradorite barrel beads for the Paters, that are a murky grey that flash vivid shades of blue and bottle green. The Aves are Blue Tiger eye that has a luminous depth to them. A beautiful, manly Celtic crucifix and the Gate of Heaven rosary centre have been used with a little Miraculous medal attached. Very manly, rugged and tough!

Our Lady's Veil Rosary (in 6mm Aves)
The gemstones are all aquamarine gemstones, the Paters a beautiful Marian blue and the Aves in 6mm vary, light blues, greens/aqua, the odd yellow and clears, they are 'muted' in tone, like water colours. They remind me of Our Lady's Veil which would have been made of the rare 'Sea Silk Byssus' ~ it was a rare commodity in ancient times ~ it is mysterious and majestic, like a shimmering gauze ~ and there is only one remaining mastercraftswoman of this silk in the world today, a lady who lives on one of the islands of Sardinia, Sant' Antioco ~ it was a special trade that was only passed on from mother to daughter, whose line could be traced back to Our Lord's time. (This lady can do that.)..sorry for my tangent here, I'm just so fascinated by this and have been reading about it at present, in a book called, "The Face of God" (The Holy Face of Manoppello)
To tie in with this theme I have used a rosary centre with Our Lady's profile wearing her veil. The crucifix has the most beautiful fernery and little flowers, like Marian forget-me-nots. I have wired on a beautiful medal of St Anne de Auray, the shrine is in France. The medal is called, "St Anne and the Flowers" and hand carved ribbon-work, beautiful carved flowers and fleur-de-lys all around Our Lady and the Child Mary.
I have layered the Paters with three bead caps and used three different colour crystals throughout, very light green, very light aqua and light sapphire. What I like about this rosary is that they are utterly feminine, very soft and gentle, so very meditative to look at in appearance.
