PRECIOUS BLOOD TENNER ~ in sterling silver

This is one of my most symbolic tenners I've created to date. The unique, rare and very pricey quartz gemstones (they took me a search and a half to find!!) look like dried blood encapsulated and symbolically represent the Precious Blood. The Pater bead represents a chalice and even with it's shape, feels beautiful in the hand, as the fingers tend to rest on the rounded end of the chalice, so don't be put off by how it may feel, you will be surprised! You'll never grow tired of looking at and meditating on all that this tenner represents, it a very special creation.

Note above, the date on the back of the medal: "10 May 1888" The original medal from which this has been handcast in sterling silver, was made in honour of someone's First Holy Communion. It is truly, a stunning medal.

MOTHER OF GOOD COUNSEL TENNER “MATER DE BONO CONSILIO”

This tenner is dedicated to the ancient, miraculous fresco of Mother of Good Counsel. The tenner is very symbolic to this blessed image.

Crucifix: Vintage reproduction handcast in solid bronze, the angels represent the miraculous flight of the image from Albania to Genazzano, transported by cherubims. The picture has been in miraculous suspension on a Church wall for the past 500 years, it is believed that cherubim is the order of angels that hold the image.

Rosary Centre: Vintage reproduction handcast in solid bronze Ave Maria Crown. This image is often associated with the feast of the Holy Name of Mary, established in thanksgiving for Our Lady’s protection against the foes of the Church, specifically the Siege of Vienna, the last major attack against Christianity by the Turks.

Medal: Vintage reproduction handcast in solid bronze. Mother of Good Counsel. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is on the reverse side.

Pater Bead: Petrosky Stone (Fossilized Agate) in 12mm. This gemstone has beautiful, fossilized markings and the rich gold represents Our Lady’s hair and the embroidered trim on her tunic.

First Three Aves: Blue Chatoyant gemstone “Hawke Eye” This luminous gemstone with it’s deep luster of blue and brown, represents Our Lady’s tunic.

Final Ten Aves: Red Jasper gemstone with it’s veins of cream and black match the colour of the Child Jesus’ tunic, capturing the fraility of the egg-shell thin fresco, especially in the bottom, right corner.

Construction: The links and jump rings are fumed, red brass. The chain is rolo style in brass.

A PRIEST'S TENNER ~ in Labradorite Gemstones

VIA DOLOROSA TENNER

This tenner is called 'Via Dolorosa' ~ the Irish Penal cross is marked with the instruments of the Passion. The Pater bead an Impression Jasper gemstone, that is clear blue like the sky, but then the clouds build, as on the day of the crucifixion...leading to the Blood Red Moon. (Acts 2:20) There was a Red Moon eclipse at the crucifixion, so the 1st of the three Ave's represents a normal pale moon, then the next Ave shows the eclipse taking place, half red, half pale and the final Ave, full, deep read, representing the Blood Moon, these first three Aves are Australian Mookaite gemstones in 8mm. It is followed by a rosary centre with the Crucified Lord on one side, Our Lady of Sorrows on the other. Then comes the ten Aves in Impression Jasper, a beautiful Marian blue streaked with red, like blood, the bloodied and sorrowful road of Mary to calvary ~ finishing with the Crucifixion scene with Our Lady and St John at His side.
